✨Student Spotlight: Vivian Wersinger✨
After 8 wonderful years with MDSB, our student Vivian Wersinger has been offered an opportunity into the Ellison Ballet Professional Training Program’s Junior Level. Having joined us in 2018, Vivian has truly grown up in our studios, and it has been an incredible privilege to watch her blossom into the talented dancer and kind young woman she is today.
We are so excited to share that this fall, she will be attending Ellison Ballet’s full-day training program in New York City.
Vivian is so grateful to all her teachers, going back to when she started at MDSB 💗
We are so proud of her and can’t wait to see where her love of dance takes her next.

More than 20 years ago, Reiko Sakamaki came to Los Angeles from Japan and met Marat Daukayev. What started as a visit turned into a year of training at MDSB in 2002 before she returned to Japan and opened her own school, Reiko Sakamaki School of Ballet.
Pictured here is Reiko as Sugarplum in MDSB’s second Nutcracker in 2002!! After nearly a decade apart, Reiko recently returned to Los Angeles and reunited with Marat.
It was so special to welcome a former student back to the studio, now a teacher herself, and see the connection she and Marat have shared through ballet continue after all these years.
