The Browns have settled their quarterback battle, but the decision has the fanbase completely divided.
Head coach Todd Monken has named Deshaun Watson the starting quarterback for Week 1, bumping Shedeur Sanders into the backup role.
The decision has sparked plenty of frustration in Cleveland, highlighted by Watson getting booed during a recent preseason game.
Many fans are eager to see what the 24-year-old Sanders can do running the offense.
However, Watson is finally healthy after missing the entire 2025 season with an Achilles injury, and the coaching staff firmly believes the veteran gives them the best chance to win right now.
It is a tough pill to swallow for fans wanting a youth movement, especially given how incredibly talented the rest of the Browns' roster is.
But in the modern NFL, a veteran's leash is only so long.
If Watson struggles to find his form, the calls for the much younger Sanders to take over will only get louder
Do you think the Browns made the right choice for their starting quarterback?

Alvin Kamara has never worn another NFL jersey.
And it looks like he never will.
The Saints drafted Kamara in the third round back in 2017.
9 seasons later, he's become one of the most unique offensive weapons of his generation:
⚜️ Saints' all-time leading rusher
⚜️ 5x Pro Bowler
⚜️ 7,250 rushing yards
⚜️ 4,948 receiving yards
⚜️ 86 total rushing and receiving TDs
This offseason, there were real questions about whether Kamara's time in New Orleans was coming to an end.
Instead, he and the Saints reworked his contract with one goal in mind:
Kamara finishing his career where it started.
Now there's really only one question left…
Is Alvin Kamara a Hall of Famer?
