Muscle is the only tissue in your body that fights back against aging.
Fat doesn't help your metabolism. Skin doesn't regulate blood sugar. But muscle does both, and more. It's metabolically active tissue, meaning the more you have, the more calories your body burns just existing — sitting at your desk, sleeping, scrolling this post.
After menopause, your body becomes more prone to insulin resistance and fat storage, especially around the midsection. Muscle directly counters this. It improves how your body uses blood sugar and helps regulate the exact hormonal chaos that menopause creates.
