💡This will be an exceptionally deep partial lunar eclipse, with about 96% of the Moon entering Earth’s darkest shadow. That leaves only a thin bright portion outside the umbra. The eclipsed part of the Moon can appear coppery, orange or deep red because sunlight passing through Earth’s atmosphere is filtered.
