What happened today at Liverpool vs Tottenham in the Carabao Cup showed once again just how special the Liverpool fanbase is. 🔴
It was Andrew Robertson’s first return to Anfield since leaving the club. He was sitting on the Tottenham bench, but Liverpool fans had already prepared something special for him — some even brought scarves with Robertson’s face on them just to make sure he got the welcome he deserved. 🥹👏
Then came the 57th minute. De Zerbi brought Robertson on for Udogie, and as soon as he stepped onto the pitch, the Liverpool fans gave him a huge round of applause and started chanting his name like he was still one of their own. ❤️
Nine years at Anfield will never be forgotten. The 83 goals he helped create, his 60 Premier League assists — the second-most by a defender in Premier League history — and everything he gave to the club.
Robertson gave Liverpool so much love, passion and everything he had.
