Happy Memorial Day!
Here’s a little red, white and blue for your feed and a quick story 🧵
and I founded FutBocce and met through playing tournaments in the mid 2010s. Skyler was the national champion and pretty much unbeatable by anyone in the world for a stretch of a few years!
Flash forward to 2024 and Skyler text me the idea for FutBocce. I loved it and was instantly in. I sent him a check in the mail for us to get started… and someone stole the check and tried to deposit it into their account 😢
Flash forward a few weeks…that issue was resolved and we were now working with our first manufacturer. They sent us a sample and we loved it. We decided to make 500 sets and agreed on paying in three installments. We sent the first installment and waited…then waited some more…(got a little nervous)…and then kept waiting. They ghosted 👻 us!
No big deal… we found a new manufacturer and 500 sets were in route. We were getting pictures of the production and were so excited! Now the only problem was I had a garage filled with baby/toddler toys and needed to clean it out before delivery. All good, cleaning out the garage with a 2 year old running around is easy work… needless to say a few solo midnight sessions and trips to Costco to get storage racks and we were ready.
The last picture is the day we had our first shipment delivered. That’s my daughter Rylee who occasionally likes to decorate the boxes with Sesame Street stickers. Now every order of FutBocce contributes to making my wife slightly happier that she has more space in the garage and also makes your backyard way more fun!!
