is July 26th and this year I am definitely committing to a run/walk strategy to finish. Last week I ran a mile a twice a week while today I completed two miles on this outing. My pace was solid, body felt good, although my mind wanted to quit early due to the heat. However, if you know me then you know I pushed through the temptation to stop. I perform a light workout for 35-45 minutes prior to running as it simulates fatigue I will experience throughout the event. Today was a good day. Next up is to recover, but before that it’s time for my Naked Mass shake because the body needs protein POST training (not before) to optimize muscle growth. The things you learn when you’ve been in the fitness game for awhile. 🫵🏽😂

Sunday service 📍 I don’t need summer to use this experience as a reset because every Sunday I reprogram my soul via 3 Nordic cycles of 15 minutes in 175 degrees followed by 2 minutes in a 48 degrees cold plunge.
