Coming up on our 10-year anniversary in November since the Ski Magic group purchased this historic gem founded by the Thorner family in 1960. We took the “road less traveled” and we’re so gratified with so many choosing to join us on this unique journey. We look forward to celebrating our 10th anniversary season with our Magic Pass holders, Throwback Card holders, Ticket buyers and Indy Pass guests! Each year Magic gets better—the ski area, the folks who work here to make it better, and the growing number who gather here to ski, ride and hang out together. The soul of skiing is alive and well in Londonderry Vermont thanks to all of you who venture here.

Concrete pours by Heli for Magic’s 1st summit lift in 1962. Also 1st time a helicopter was ever used for that purpose.

A lot of us still remember the first time we rode a chairlift and looked out over the trees, wondering if we were brave enough to make it down. Ski areas like this hold onto that feeling.

The long runs, the lift lines, the lodge smell of wet wool and hot cocoa, they all bring back winters that seemed to last forever. Add in the old Vermont mountain setting and it feels like weekends from another time.

Places like this keep family trips, school snow days, and a whole lot of sore legs in the memory bank. I’m glad there are still mountains where you can make a day of it and come home tired in the best way.
