It's another DOUBLE HEADER POINT WEEKEND at MCR and US 24!
Friday, we KICK THINGS OFF at Miami County Raceway with the MAC & CONNIE! MCR's biggest MEMORIAL RACE of the year, paying the FEATURE WINNERS of ONW $500, and AWING $400!
Then, on SATURDAY, it's the TIM WINTER MEMORIAL, MASONIC LODGE NIGHT, and the scheduled MAKEUP of POINT NIGHT #6. PLUS, the ANW cars are QUALIFYING on SATURDAY NIGHT!
TWO GREAT NIGHTS of racing at TWO GREAT TRACKS!
**ALSO, please make NOTE that we ARE RACING at MIAMI COUNTY RACEWAY on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 18th (POINT NIGHT #7), PLUS, we have ADDED FRIDAY, OCTOBER 2nd (POINT NIGHT #8) at MCR! The October 2nd event will be the FINAL RACE OF THE YEAR at MIAMI COUNTY!

We APPRECIATE your FAMILY, and we APPRECIATE everything PAUL did for the TRACK, it's COMPETITORS, and the entire RACING COMMUNITY. Paul was certainly, one of the good guys! We were lucky to have Paul as part of our US 24 family!

Wow! The past couple of weeks have been INCREDIBLE for US 24 Speedway (and PERU/MCR) alumni.
We don't talk about the SUCCESS of our ALUMS often because so many do well, in so many different disciplines....and we certainly don't want to MISS anyone!
That said, we're going to mention a few tonight!
First, it was great to see a former TRACK CHAMP, Emerson Axsom, capture his first WORLD of OUTLAWS Victory at Huset's. OUTSTANDING! Emerson was always FAST in his family owned and prepared machines and they certainly RAISED THE BAR for Outlaw competition. And don't forget, EMERSON won the CHILI BOWL Nationals earlier this year! What a YEAR!
Next, a Louisiana kid, Chelby Hinton, who moved to INDIANA and WON US 24's Big Dance as well as many WEEKLY FEATURES (at 24 and Peru) in his family's car, and Doug Wright's micro. This weekend CHELBY dominated the KKM Giveback, WINNING his preliminary FEATURE, then ran the POINT for 65 of 67 laps, grabbing Micro Racing's BIGGEST CASH purse (ever), $25,000! CHELBY also finished 6th this weekend at DuQuoin's USAC Silver Crown race.
And how about Mike Landis winning the American Sprint Car Tour SEASON CHAMPIONSHIP! MIKE won his FIRST Sprint Car Feature on his very FIRST race to start the season. Mike has been successful on a limited budget in his family's ( ) car at 24 and Peru. He also found SUCCESS in Rick Rhodes's micro sprint.
And, in the past couple of weeks, both Kole Kirkman and Caleb Shietze grabbed their first Sprint car wins in local races.
KIRKMAN is a former 24 Track Champion. He and his family are long-time 24 (and Peru) competitors with dozens (and dozens) of FEATURE WINS.
CALEB SHIETZE got a "W" in just his 3rd sprint car outing driving for Scott Benic two weeks ago. SHIETZE, too, is a multiple-time TRACK CHAMP at 24 and Peru, driving for Rodney Staley (Concept Team #40), as well as the SHIETZE family's beautiful #66 machine.
