Join us for Clement Park Community Clean Up Days!
Keeping our parks beautiful relies on the whole community. Come out to Clement Park on the third Mondays of the month this summer; July 20, August 17 and September 21 from 10 am to 12 pm to get some sun while giving back. Volunteers should plan to meet at the amphitheater at 10 am.
Community members of all ages are welcome to join. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the cleanup. Dress for Colorado weather, wear sunscreen and comfortable shoes, and bring your own water. We provide latex gloves, trash grabbers and buckets.

Join us in celebrating America's 250th and Colorado's 150th anniversaries with Legendary Ladies!
Friday, August 7, 5:30 - 7:30 pm, includes dinner!
Step back in history to hear stories from Legendary Ladies who made history through their daring and colorful ways!
Meet the Ladies:
Augusta Tabor: 1833-1895
As a cook, laundress, and postmistress, Augusta quickly learned financial management at a time when it was uncommon for women to be business minded. As first wife of Horace Tabor, the Silver King, her astute business holdings helped her develop into a well-known Denver philanthropist, inductee into the Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame and the National Mining Hall of Fame.
Julia Archibald Holmes: 1838-1887
Mountaineer and suffragist, Julia was the first known woman to climb Colorado’s most famous mountain. One of the earliest named women in Colorado history, she was called the “Bloomer Girl on Pikes Peak” and became an inductee in the Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame.
Lola Montez: 1818 – 1862
Flamboyant dancer and actress, Lola Montez enjoyed worldwide fame while critics alternately praised and railed against her. Wildly adored by the American public, she reached her height of popularity in California during the gold rush years and became an inductee in the Theater Hall of Fame.

Flat 14ers, what a fun way to get your miles/steps in! Foothills has all kinds of trails to get you moving, from regional trails that cross the entire District, to shorter loop and neighborhood trails close to home. Find them all at ifoothills.org/parks/ .
Move over, Flat Stanley, there’s a new flat-themed quest in Colorado.
Introducing Flat 14ers ⛰️
To celebrate Colorado’s 150th birthday, you can now hike a 14er at your own pace in your own style. No steep climbing or loose rocks required. A Flat 14er is a new twist on hiking any number of Colorado’s famous 14,000-foot mountains –– but without the vertical.
Whether you’re tight on time, can’t make it to the high country or need an adventure that’s fit for lower mobility folks, check out a Flat 14er near you. These hikes mimic the same mileage as a true 14er hike, but you can do it in your own backyard, town or wherever works best for you.
At the end of the day, it’s all about spending time outside and being active. Whether you need a peaceful walk in the woods or want to tool around the block (more than a few times), Flat 14ers are meant for everyone.
