Happy birthday, dear Tara! We are grateful to be able to watch you, learn from you, and spend time with you every day! You are the best, and we hope your day is the best too!

Yesterday, several members of Team Cottonwood participated in the annual Sterling Ranch Saddles and Spurs Parade! What fun it was to watch them ride around the neighborhood!

When your best friend is also a gray mare. And you like to pretend you’re twins. And people believe you. 😍

We are so excited to introduce you to Dani, and her sweet mare, Rey! Here’s what Dani has to say about their partnership in her own words:

“My name is Dani, I’ve been riding since I was 10 years old and it’s always been a passion of mine. Fast forward to my adult years and I recently got back into riding after a 10 year break, it was a struggle to get back into the swing of things but I did and began jumping again which was my passion. I had leased a horse through Cottonwood and through the community and support there felt ready to buy my own horse, one day Sam told me she had the perfect horse for me and this mare just “needed her person”, our first lesson together we jumped two jumps perfectly and I fell in love with Rey, an off the track thoroughbred. It’s been a little over a year since I’ve had Rey now and we love jumping together - even did our first show this year and we’re getting into trail riding too. I love how Rey has helped me build confidence and be a better rider and horse owner, she keeps me on my toes with her occasional sass but all in all is such a sweetheart and my partner in crime!!”

We have loved watching Dani and Rey develop their partnership, and can’t wait to see what the future has in store for this pair! Be sure to say hello when you see them around the barn!

Hooray for Roy! Roy found not one, but TWO incredible moms! Congratulations, Natalie and Meaghan, on making it official with sweet Roy! We can’t wait to watch you grow together!

While our hunter and jumper riders have been busy with horse shows this summer, our western riders have been competing in rodeo and gymkhana! It’s so fun having riders of different disciplines at the barn, and getting to cheer one another on!
