52.05 miles. 12 hours. A new women’s record at the KC Backyard Ultra this past Saturday! 🏆💙
As a running coach, I always telling my athletes to trust the training, embrace the hard days, and be willing to test what you’re capable of.
This training cycle, I actually took my own advice. All those hot, humid, summer training runs that felt like a slog paid off. 🥵☀️
I don’t just want to coach my athletes to push their limits. I want to keep pushing mine, too.
I’ll never stop wondering, “What else am I capable of?” 🔥 You can’t succeed unless you’re willing to fail trying.
So grateful to have a body that lets me do hard things.

🏅 MEDAL MONDAY 🏅
I’ve been working with Therese Behrendt Slechta since 2020, and one thing has never changed: she’s always wanting to chase a big goal.
Trail runs, endurance runs and rides, insane climbs, triathlons, personal challenges…you name it and she’s going after it!
This past weekend, she took🥇1st place age-group finish at her sprint triathlon! 🙌
Here’s to her next big goals! 🏊♀️🚴♀️🏃♀️⛰️

Turns out I don’t hate running after all…
I just hate running in 100° weather. 😅🏃♀️
It’s amazing what a little cooler weather can do for your pace and your mindset.
Bring on taper week!

Inspired to create a walking only plan by a few athletes who are in a non-running season of life.
Walking is not giving up. It’s training with intention. 🚶♀️
For many runners, especially in midlife, there comes a season where your body needs a little less pounding and a little more patience.
That doesn’t mean stopping.
It means building your foundation in a different way.
Power walking can improve your aerobic fitness, strengthen your legs, support recovery, and help you stay consistent when running isn’t the right choice.
Your fitness journey doesn’t have to be all-or-nothing.
Sometimes the strongest athletes are the ones willing to adjust, listen, and keep moving forward. ❤️
I created an 8-week Walking Strong Plan for those who want structure without the impact.
Comment WALK if you want details.

Normal people spend their day off relaxing. I, on the other hand, choose to run 30 miles - my longest training run 🏃♂️ of this cycle - so I can enjoy the weekend!
30 miles ✅
feels like 103 🥵
Countless opportunities to quit, but did it anyway!
