Leadership Academy 🤝🎾

We kicked off Year 2 of our Leadership Academy yesterday! Our mentors and mentees got to meet, learn more about the program, and jump right into some fun team-building activities.

We’re so excited to see this program continue to grow and to watch the relationships, leadership skills, and connections develop throughout the year. Here’s to another great year of Leadership Academy! 💙

Introducing our Tennis Industry Internship Pilot Program!

Woods is thrilled to offer an in-house tennis pilot program. Over the years we have been fortunate to grow our base of players and coaches from within our own programming. We wanted to offer a formal internship for those interested in learning more about the tennis industry and different opportunities that are available to potentially grow into a full-time position within the industry. This will be a school year, paid, rotational career-pathway program for high school seniors and college aged interns.

Rotations will include on-site coaching, community outreach, stringing and racquet tech, front of house/reservations and facility and grounds.

We are pleased to announce that one of our own, was selected as the Champion of Equality this year!!

"Kaitlin Roselius, Director of Community Outreach & Evaluation at Woods Tennis Center, Lincoln, Neb. is USTA Missouri Valley's Champion of Equality for 2026. Under Kaitlin’s guidance, WTC offers tennis and educational programming to at-promise youth across the city of Lincoln and surrounding areas. Kaitlin also oversees WTC’s adaptive tennis programs, “Tennis Without Limits” and “Tennis Buddies,” in partnership with Special Olympics Nebraska, serving youth and adults with intellectual disabilities."

Celebrating the USTA Missouri Valley connections at the 2026 US Open The 2026 US Open taking place Aug. 23 through Sept. 13 is a fantastic experience for those in attendance. Once again, USTA Missouri Valley has many familiar faces who will be in attendance of the Grand Slam event in varying capacities.

These adult events are half-day tournaments featuring a round-robin format and modified scoring. The best part? You’ll get to play several matches against different players, enjoy a fun and fast-paced format, and be done in just a few hours—no need to commit your entire weekend! 🙌
