"🏈 As we count down to the 2026 NFL Hall of Fame Game & Induction Ceremony, we're celebrating a pair of Nebraska natives enshrined in BOTH our Hall of Fame and the NFL's! 🏆
🔹 Guy Chamberlin (Blue Springs) — 3x all-state before anchoring Nebraska's undefeated 1915 squad. After serving in WWI, he put together an 11-year pro career with 9 undefeated seasons and just 2 losses. George Halas called him ""the greatest two-way end of all time.""
🔹 Mick Tingelhoff (Lexington HS) — State champion center who lettered for the Huskers ('59-'61), then anchored the Minnesota Vikings for 17 seasons — including 4 Super Bowl appearances.
🔹 Gale Sayers (Central High, Omaha) — All-state in football AND track, All-American at Kansas, and one of the most electrifying (if injury-shortened) careers the NFL has ever seen. The ""Kansas Comet"" will always be a Nebraskan. 💙
