🏓 Competitive pickleball is funny because everyone says, “We’re just here to have fun”… right before they spend 20 minutes debating a line call and targeting your backhand. 😂

Did you know pickleball started with just THREE families?

Back in 1965, three dads (Joel, Bill, and Barney) had bored kids on their hands one summer day on Bainbridge Island. Their genius solution? Raid the garage.

Ping pong paddles ➕ a wiffle ball ➕ a saggy, lowered badminton net = a legend was born. 🏓

Now here’s the tea, nobody can agree on how it got its name. Some say it was named after a dog named Pickles. The Pritchard family says NOPE, it was Joel’s wife Joan who named it after “pickle boats” from crew racing.

Either way… from 3 bored families to 22 MILLION picklers worldwide?? 🤯 That’s what we call a glow-up.
