Prayers to the Gianunzio family!

Friends and family....

I'm sure many of you heard the news about the accident on HWY 77 and Rosa Parks. Unfortunately, my family was involved in the accident.

It all happened so fast. It's deja vu all over again. This happened to me about 7 years ago in almost the exact same manner.

The motorcycle we impacted appears to have lost control coming from the opposite direction as us, crossed the median and made an impact with our car. I am praying for the family members of the man who did not survive the accident. We cannot express the sadness we are feeling today.

As far as an update goes for our family.

Raelen and I were released from the hospital around 330am. Thank God one of us was not impacted severely. Raelen ended up with lots of bumps, bruises, and cuts from glass. She is a trooper and will now be the keeper of the family for the weeks to come.

I sustained bruised ribs and lung (feels almost exactly like my broken sternum from a previous accident 7 years ago). My knee is pretty messed up. The fluid inside is causing a lot of pain. Thankfully, nothing is broken. Will need an MRI once swelling goes down as there could be tears in the knee. Unfortunately, my seatbelt failed and I smashed my head and knee into the windshield and dash before being double wammy by air bags.

Both of us were released around 3am this morning and are now home.

Brooklyn, sustained a cracked collarbone, bruised lungs/chest and was held overnight for monitoring due to her small size and the concern there may be internal damage from the waist part of the seatbelt.

Liz, my poor wife got the brunt. Multiple broken ribs, concussion, broken right heel, multiple cuts and bruises. She got pretty messed up. I am not certain if she will need surgery in her foot for now. I hope to receive more updates in the coming hours.

Both of them were admitted to Bryan West last night. I will try to update everyone once I know more. For now, keep the family of the deceased in your prayers. It's going to be a tough few weeks for the Gianunzio household. We will take any prayers you have left over for us as well.
