Another banner weekend for the squad. A stellar team outing brings our jiu jitsu record to 187-69 (103 submissions) for 2026.

Efrain Garcia captures the 135lb Hammer Challenge Series title after marching through the bracket going 3-0. This is Efrain’s 4th belt in a year’s time. (HCS, Finishers, Arena, Philly Phenoms).

Dani Ferrara won a rematch in an absolute scrap against a tough opponent, winning by guillotine. Good momentum leading into her next superfight!

Zania (Z) went out and threw the kitchen sink, winning a solid decision,all while trying new things. Next time we finish for sure!

amanda bradley lost a match in a really great match. It was Amanda’s first adult super fight and she went against a very tested opponent and took her to a decision. Plenty of upside here!

We also had the pleasure of cornering Sonny who is doing great things at American Grappling Academy - please check them out. Our friend Andrew also dominated in a stellar debut. These guys don’t count in our record obviously but they help elevate the room when they’re in!

Leg Lock Class: Offered every Thursday, and focusing on all things leg lock - attacks, defense, chaining to the upper body and back, scoring, etc. This class treats leg locking like its own art and has contributed to a great W/L record in matches when it comes to leg locks!

We will be adding a pop-up MMA class Friday 7:30 consistently through the end of October’s fight camp. Check socials to make sure it is locked-in. We welcome and encourage visitors to come by, pending approval.

📢 MUAY THAI GUEST INSTRUCTOR ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

Join us Monday, September 14th for our regularly scheduled 7:45pm Muay Thai class featuring Guest Instructor Lonnie: Lonnie Beck!

Lonnie brings 20+ years of martial arts experience as a practitioner, coach, fighter and business owner. He currently serves as the President of USA Muay Thai and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the mats.

This class is free for all New Asgard students, and drop-ins are welcome for $30. Come train, learn, and take advantage of the opportunity to work with an experienced Muay Thai coach.

We are excited to officially announce John Wunder in as our newest addition to the coaching roster at NAMA. John will be teaching the Friday night Muay Thai class, and will be a valued training partner. John adds a ton of experience to the team with 15+ amateur fights, pro Muay Thai + Kickboxing experience, and plenty of coaching experience.

Kevin will be coming back to Monday nights, and Kyle will continue Saturdays!

Sunday 9/6: Comp class running as scheduled. No wrestling class

Monday 9/7: No scheduled classes, open mat/open sparring at 6pm. Open to all affiliations and kids invited. Bring a friend and come through!
