UNOH Race Club Overview
The Race Club was established to foster and coordinate professional working relationships between students and the motorsports industry. UNOH Race Club
In 1999, University of Northwestern Ohio instructors saw a need to provide students with an organization that would promote activities centered around the growing high performance program. Since its inception, students have been able to participate in a variety of programs. A relationship was formed with Ron Dreger, Director for the ARCA Series; and race club members were soon traveling around the country to volunteer to help on various ARCA ( Stock Car ) Series race teams. The educational experience the students gain from working on these race teams is invaluable. In the interest of providing students with a well-rounded education, UNOH Race Club is looking to expand its presence in the ARCA race series and into other areas of Motorsports. The University of Northwestern Ohio Race Club meets Tuesdays at 12:30 p.m. in the High Performance Dyno BLDG lounge area. The club helps students gain more experience by participating on race teams. Any University of Northwestern Ohio student may join. The club is designed to bring together students who like to share in the racing experience. Pictures of the students with their teams and racing events are hanging in the 600 Building for others to see where they have been and what they have done.
