The "R***e Ten" – A Classic Marksmanship Challenge (Modified)

Based on Jeff Cooper's General R***e course, we've adapted this classic drill for our range. Here's how it works:

📍 10 rounds across 5 distance stations 🔫 2 shots at each position: start at 200y run → 180y → 160y → 140y → 120y → 100y ⏱️ Timed drill – speed meets precision. Shooter moves through all fundamental positions (freestyle, prone, sitting, kneeling, standing)

Our variation: Starting run of 20 yards, then 20 yards between each shooting position. One freestyle shot to start, followed by prone, sitting, kneeling, and standing.

This isn't about firepower—it's a scout r***e drill emphasizing speed, position transitions, and accuracy under pressure. Perfect for facilities with shorter yardage!

Over the past four years, this community has shown up for us in ways that continually blow us away. Thanks to your support, our family of programs has brought home top honors:

While we officially split our programs last year, focusing our fi****ms and and armed self defense training here at Urban Defense Academy and our traditional martial arts at Shin Gan Dojo, our core mission hasn't changed. We are dedicated to providing a grounded, welcoming space where students can build confidence, master real-world self-defense skills, and learn to protect what matters most. Knowing our work on the range and in the dojo makes a difference for you and your families means everything to us.
