Meet Accoutrement.
If you don’t know what an accoutrement is, it’s something that completes the package. Conveniently, that’s exactly what this filly is.
This gorgeous grey girl is retiring from racing after deciding that while she enjoys the accommodations, the actual racing part was a bit overrated. Why run fast when you can look pretty and conserve energy for your second career?
Accoutrement approached racing much like some people approach cardio: she showed up, participated, and felt that was enough.
In true fashion, Accoutrement comes with all the accoutrements:
✔️ Good looks
✔️ Good mind
✔️ Good manners
✔️ Sound with no known previous injuries
The only thing missing is her person.
Yes, she’s only two. The good news? She’s already checked “racehorse” off her resume and decided she’d like to pursue other opportunities.
To be clear, Accoutrement is retiring directly from the track and has not been restarted. She is track-broke only and is being offered as a blank canvas for someone to bring along in the discipline of their choice.
She’s been handled, hauled, exposed to plenty, and has all the life experience that comes with being a young Thoroughbred, without much of the wear and tear. Now she’s ready to start the next chapter.

3 y/o grey gelding by Tapit who somehow missed the memo about OTTBs being dramatic. Buzz chose:

The kind you get on and go, “oh thank GOD.”
✔️ no nonsense
✔️ no overthinking
✔️ just a good brain (rare, we checked)
A few rides off the track and already giving “pack your tack and go show” energy… BUT let’s be real, he’s 3 and still green, figuring out balance and his body as he develops under tack. He’s got the mind, now he’s learning the strength, coordination, and consistency to match it.
Point him at a jump? He’ll try. Miss your distance? He’ll forgive you.
He’s still building the balance to do it all smoothly, but the brain is already saying “yes ma’am.”
Cute, careful jump + naturally easy way of going + young horse learning his job = ammy dream in the making.
