"I have been a member of LAC for more than a decade. In March of 2025, I was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. The typical prognosis is 12–15 months. I had surgery and when cleared, I returned to the gym. I truly believe that physical fitness and especially attending fitness classes has helped prolong my life and increased quality of life.

My neuro-oncologist agrees. The encouragement I receive from fellow gym goers helps me keep going.

Exercise is medicine for the body, mind, and spirit. It has been an essential part of my fight, helping me maintain strength, hope, and resilience."
