LYSA Adult Soccer

All LYSA Adult games for Tuesday, Sept. 1 and Wednesday, Sept. 2 are on as scheduled.

However, please take caution when playing tonight and tomorrow. Drink plenty of fluids. Water breaks -- one per half -- will be mandatory for all teams with no exceptions.

No shenanigans here — Shenanigans has done it! The longtime LYSA team — rejuvenated with some new blood — has returned to the winner’s circle and claimed the summer recreational championship.

Congrats, ladies and gents. No rest for the champs. They’re back at it next week in the fall open division.

A reminder that the Tuesday open division is delayed a week to Aug. 25 to allow the summer recreational league to finish up this Tuesday.

Over-40 games for Wednesday, Aug. 12 are canceled due to the rain we’ve had the last 24 hours and the forecast for tonight.

Rough weather week for Lexington soccer, but we’ll get back at it next week!

Recreational games for Tuesday, Aug. 11 have been canceled. We were hopeful to fit the games in to wrap up the summer league, but unfortunately Mother Nature did not cooperate. We will be in touch about the make-up games.

We are monitoring the weather. With the extended daylight that we have thanks to the summer hours, we are still hoping to play tonight's matches to wrap up our summer recreational league.

We anticipate an adjusted kickoff time of 6:30 p.m. (but hopefully, no later than 6:45 p.m.).

We will contact your captains should we have further information to provide.

New blood has ended the impressive championship streak by Mundo Mix. First-time team Lexington United took down the reigning champs 6-1 in the summer over-40 championship.

Can they do it again in the fall? Or will Mundo fight back? Stay tuned!

Masters of the Pitch!

The Pitch at LAC took down Lucky United 3-1 last night to win the competitive division summer crown. Both teams went unscathed through the regular season, so something had to give.

Congrats to both teams on a great season!
