Great morning on the dock with FOX 4. Reporter Berkeley Taylor and her photographer came out to talk boating and water safety with Chris ahead of Labor Day weekend.

The short version of what he told them: life jackets only work when they are actually on, check the weather before you go and again while you are out, and know the water you are on. Lewisville changes with the level, and what you cleared in May might be sitting a few inches under in August.

We are looking forward to seeing the clip and will share it here as soon as it airs.

We're paddling for a great cause! Freedom Boat Club North Texas is proud to support Paddle for the Battle on September 26 at Highport Marina, a charity paddle poker run benefiting Women Rock Inc.

We'll be at the dock that morning with cards in hand, so come find us and say hi! Check-in starts at 10:30 AM, and prizes go to the top three hands.
