Pickleball has its Bainbridge Island backyard photograph. RALLYBALL now has this one Lenexa Pickleball Page

RALLYBALL began when founder Mickey Collins saw three teenagers playing pickleball by themselves. Mickey approached them with several prototype rackets made from restrung junior tennis rackets. He had already developed the game and its basic rules.

The three teenagers agreed to try it. Mickey joined them, and together they played the first RALLYBALL game on the courts that would become the birthplace of the sport.

The teenagers enjoyed the experience enough to play three additional games.

Their names were not recorded, but this photograph preserves the first players, the original prototype rackets, the ball, and the place where RALLYBALL moved from an idea into a game.
