Facility Feature: Dango by Jun Kaneko

Named after the Japanese dumplings, this six foot tall glazed ceramic sculpture plays with scale, culture, and humor. Kaneko’s Dango's have been recognized as some of the largest free-standing ceramic art pieces in the world, as well as iconic masterpieces of contemporary art.

We at Paragon Star are very excited to show off one of our newest employees, Collin Brich! Collin officially started working at Paragon Star in June of this year as the Events and Hospitality Manager. He has kicked off the summer strong, helping to create and manage new and existing events for the LS and Paragon community, such as Rock the Cheese Block, which is scheduled to come this fall! 
 
Collin moved from his hometown of Tampa, Florida, to KCMO in 2016, where he worked at Paradice Park while also managing and running Bridge Space, a historic building in downtown Lee’s Summit. There, he helped small businesses, startups, and entrepreneurs in our community find the resources to move their businesses forward. He also helped launch the first LS Jazz Festival in 2024, which has since found its groove in the community!
 
Outside of work, he and his wife Addy love to cook and try new recipes, sometimes on purpose, sometimes completely at random. “She’s always texting me new recipes with a ‘challenge accepted’ following it, and somehow we make it work!” He and his wife also love to garden, using what they grow in their various recipes.
