Recovery matters.

Sleep matters.

Hydration matters.

Food matters.

Easy days matter.

When athletes are working hard, their bodies need time and support to adapt.

Training is not only what happens during practice.

The choices made between practices matter too.

Thank you, parents, for helping athletes build healthy habits that support their growth.

As we wrap up September, we are proud of the work this team has put in.

The early-season nerves are starting to turn into confidence.
The miles are adding up.
The lessons are starting to show.

If your athlete is racing this week, remind them to trust the work they have done.

Go compete.
Go have fun.
Go be brave.

Feed them and let them hang out. Sometimes that’s the whole plan. πŸ˜‚πŸ’™πŸ’›

Loved getting our varsity crew together around the table! We spend plenty of time cheering for these kids on the course, and it’s just as sweet watching their friendships grow outside of practice.

Grateful for this crew and the families who make time for evenings like these.

As parents, we want our kids surrounded by people who challenge them, encourage them, and help them believe they can do hard things.
That is what we are building at ACCEL.
And honestly? The athletes explain it better than we ever could.

Parents, here is one simple way to help with race nerves:

Focus on effort over outcome.

Instead of only asking about times or places, try asking:

How did you feel?
What did you learn?
What are you proud of?
Did you encourage a teammate?
What would you like to work on next?

Those questions help athletes process the experience and keep growing.

The stopwatch is part of the sport, but it is not the whole story.

Proud of these kids for getting out of bed, showing up, and putting in the work before most of us finish our coffee. Me included. πŸ˜‚
