It was a tough decision, but we have decided to postpone the summer pool party tomorrow. We have rescheduled it for Saturday, July 25 at the same time and place.

Took a small group to compete at The Summer Classic continuous sparring and grappling tournament. It takes some guts to step out of your comfort zone and allow yourself to be pushed at a different level. Always coming back to the dojo with lessons learned . We often tell our kids and adults that you may have to weather the storm and stay calm and be able to execute under stress . The format of this competition allows you to grow and build that skillset. Heck just getting through the rounds is an accomplishment for most. Everyone did a great job and I am pleased. I see some room for improvement and we definitely will.On a side note, Our preachers lesson this Sunday morning was on faith in the storm and how we deal with it . Another type of gut check !!!

I attended the burial service of Ralph Snake Smith today . As a young boy many fighters I watched left an impression on me . Snake was one that I loved to watch even when it was against one of our group from Nashville. Snake was one of the best in that era and in our area . Snake schooled a lot of people in the ring myself included. I’m glad he is no longer suffering and he is at peace .Until we meet again , the dream lives on !!!
