August is Back to School month and we're been featuring out Sports Department each Friday. AS we wrap up the month of August, we're happy to highlight one of our most experienced Climbing Wall Attendants: Phyllis!
She's been on staff at Countryside YMCA for more than 18 years and she says, "My favorite part of my job is just watching people realize that they can actually climb and how much fun it is. My favorite story is teaching a 9-year-old to climb and then over the years we became great friends and still go climbing together. Initially I wanted this job for the free membership, but now its the wonderful families I meet while I’m working." Her hobbies include climbing, hiking, kayaking, and walking with my her best friend of over 40 years.

🏀 FRIDAY FEATURE ⚽️
August is Back to School month and all month long we're featuring our amazing Sports Department. Today we're excited to spotlight one of our Sports Coordinators: Rob!
Rob has been on staff at Countryside YMCA staff for about 3 years and his favorite part of his job is the variety and opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day. "I enjoy event coordination and facilitating programs where I get to work directly with members and see the positive difference it makes in their lives. Being part of an organization that lives out strong values every day makes it feel rewarding," says Rob. When he's not working, he loves to stay active in sports, especially tennis, pickleball, and basketball.
Be sure to say hey to when you see him around the Y this fall, and don't forget to register for fall sports programs by visiting countrysideymca.org/sports

Taking on the responsibility to homeschool means you are choosing the curriculum and learning opportunities that best meet your child’s educational needs. However, it doesn’t mean you must do all the teaching yourself!! Signing up for classes taught by qualified instructors and offered by a credible organization like the Y may be one of the best ways to help families meet the Ohio homeschool requirements. Check out the classes we offer during daytime hours specifically for homeschool families at countrysideymca.org/homeschool
