We’re out here everyday strengthening our core and pelvic floor. There is no end date for these exercises. We know a strong core leads to big lifts and these ladies are crushing it 💪🏻 .adair .do.i.begin

Thank you Veteran’s!
Kat started her strength journey with the goal to do A push up. Today she crushed 3 sets of 10 unbroken.
The work doesn’t do itself. Kat has shown up every class determined to build strength, challenge herself, and reach her goals. It’s time for a new goal

Core work cannot only be accessory work. If you want to lift more you have to start with more core strength. We call it building a functional core. And if you are a mom rebuilding postpartum is more important than ever!
Our class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10am with childcare available and on Saturday at 8am!

Excited to see this group at 10am tomorrow! Bench press and Deadlifts for breakfast 💪🏻
Yesterdays workout was one of my favorites. I love seeing confidence grow when we incorporate a pull up bar.
Do you love pull ups?

Checking for a DRA or Diastasis ✨
Our bodies are incredible. As a baby grows the pregnant moms body adapts to create space for that baby. One of the most noticeable adaptations is that the abdominal muscles separate to create a space for the growing baby. After baby is born our bodies begin to heal and shift back to a pre-pregnancy state. When it comes to our abdominal muscles they do not always return to their origiunal position. Some women are left with a space or a "gap". This is called a DRA or Diastasis.
This DRA is responsible for the "mom pouch" look, appearing pregnant long after the pregnancy has ended, instability in the core and pain in the low back and pelvis.
A DRA is measured in two ways, depth and width. It is also important to note the integrity of the tissue. Any gap over 1 finger wide or 1 knuckle deep is considered abnormal and some rehab should happen.
Just because a pregnancy occurred long ago does not mean that you are necessarily "healed." If you have ever been pregnant take a minute to check. If you need help checking or you're unsure reach out- I am happy to help!

Life and Lifting 💕
The Momlete community is not just for moms or just for athletes- it’s for both.
We are moms who understand that motherhood and parenthood is hard. We need one another to vent, to support, and to love each other through the best days and the hardest ones.
We are athletes who are striving to be our best selves every day. We know that we must be healthy to show up our best for our families.
The combination of the two is magic ✨
We meet tomorrow morning at 8am! Tag your favorite mom or workout buddy 👇🏻

✨April is C-Section Awareness Month✨
I delivered both of my boys via c-section.
Patrick was born at 41+3 after a failed induction. We were induced at 7 pm. I was not dialated at all and Patrick was not engaged so we spent the night trying to get me to dilate. Patrick had a lot of negative reactions to the medication they were using. The nurses would give me a medication, he would have non reassuring heart tones, and then they would give me another medication to counteract the first medication. This continued through the night and my hopes of non-medicated or low interference birth slipped away. We had a major scare that included the staff being unable to find a heartbeat for a few minutes and my OB felt a c-section was necessary and I agreed. We met Patrick shortly after (about 15 minutes) and he was perfectly healthy 9lbs 13oz boy!
I had hoped to have a VBAC and my OB felt I was a good candidate for a successful VBAC when I found out I was pregnant with Giles. They monitored him closely for weight and polyhydroaminos. At 41 weeks there was concern about the risk of uterine rupture so we had a scheduled and smooth c-section. Giles was 8lbs 14oz of pure joy and snuggles from the moment we met him.
I am thankful that 2 c-sections brought my 2 sweet boys into this world safe and healthy. There are so many emotions that are tied to how we give birth. Joy, fear, happiness, and love. So much love 💕
