White Tail Strength & Conditioning

Dear White Tail CrossFit,

You are the place that became home when I moved 1,200 miles from my home, my friends, and my family. You are the place I met friends, and people who became my family. You are the place I met my husband, and we eventually started our own family. You are the place that surrounded our family with so many people when we truly didn’t think life could throw us anymore, but it did.

You are the place I was motivated to help people move better. You are the place that took an athlete (I use that term loosely for the haters in the comments- and Damon rolling his eyes above) and made her a coach. You are the place I learned when to stay quiet and listen, when to take advice, and when to speak up. You are the place that prepared me to get comfortable with being a leader when the opportunity arises.

You are the place I have completed some of the most miserable workouts (sometimes more than once ). The place I have pushed myself to some of my furthest limits. The place I have hit many PRs, and many more failures. The place I never left feeling worse when I walked out than when I walked in.

You are the place my daughter gets to watch both women and men do incredible things. You are the place she first witnessed the power of moving your body correctly. You are (probably) the reason she only throws balls up, and immediately brings any stick-like object from the ground to overhead when she picks it up.

You are the place that is so special to so many people, and a place that everyone has a story to share about.

We aren’t saying goodbye. We are starting a new chapter.

His beautiful wife is undergoing an aggressive chemo therapy regime, and they could use some help with meals for him and their two young boys.
