Brenda (Hoke) Stultz

75 Years Young

December 27, 1950 – August 10, 2026

Brenda Hoke Stultz passed away peacefully on August 10, 2026, at Northside Hospital.

Brenda dedicated 40 years of her life to working for the IRS. After retiring, she continued serving others through Gwinnett County Public Schools, where she worked as a bus monitor, helping and caring for special needs children.

In her younger years, Brenda loved riding horses and spent many weekends traveling to various horse shows. Later in life, she caught the running bug from her daughter, Ramona. Brenda became a member of several running groups and could often be found at a 5K race on the weekend—sometimes even two! She also loved volunteering at Atlanta Track Club events and became a familiar and beloved face in the local running community.

Brenda will be remembered for her determination, her generous spirit, her love of people, and, most of all, her smile. She never seemed ready to slow down, and she inspired those around her to keep moving forward.

She is survived by her daughter, Ramona; her son, Joshua; and her older brother, Richard, along with many friends and loved ones whose lives she touched.

Celebration of Life

The celebration will be casual, just as Brenda would have wanted. She wouldn’t want anyone getting all dressed up!

In Brenda’s honor, we ask everyone to wear a race shirt, Braves shirt, or, for her Gwinnett County Schools friends, a shirt representing the buses.

Please bring a chair if you would like to sit during the celebration. If you would like to bring a dish to share, that would also be wonderful, but it is certainly not necessary.

Ms. Brenda, it was always a pleasure to see you cross our finish line. We have so many great memories, and we loved seeing your smile. Thank you for showing us not to slow down—to always keep moving forward, no matter what. We loved you Ms. Brenda. 🕊️
