I do everything I can to give my son advantages by putting him in environments that help him grow.

But here's what I won't do...

I won't run every time things get hard.

Bad coaching.
Bad teammates.
A tough season.
Not getting enough playing time.
Playing poorly.
Getting challenged.

Those moments are part of the journey.

Mental toughness isn't built when everything is perfect. It's built when your athlete learns to fight through adversity, adjust, improve, and keep showing up.

That's what I tell every family I work with:

Don't run from adversity. Learn from it.

Because one day, college coachesβ€”and lifeβ€”won't let your child transfer every time things get difficult.

Stay. Compete. Grow.

Do you agree, or should parents remove their kids from bad situations? Let me know in the comments.

He was 5'9". One year of varsity film. No social media presence. A school list full of programs that didn't match his profile at all.

His family was frustrated. They'd been doing everything they thought was right.

The problem wasn't effort. It was strategy.

Here's what we changed: β€” Rebuilt his school list around his actual measurables, not his dream schools β€” Cut his film down to Grade 1 plays only, best play in the first 20 seconds β€” Built his social media profiles from scratch β€” bio, content, consistency β€” Sent 20 outreach emails to coaches using exact word-for-word templates β€” Put him in two camps where coaches were specifically evaluating his position

Sixty days after we started β€” scholarship offer. Committed the same week.

The 5 tools we used are in the Recruiting Blueprint Kit. The checklist. The camp guide. The coach contact templates. The film guide. The timeline.

Comment KIT and I'll send you the link. Five tools. Instant delivery.

Your son is not "too young" to start recruiting that's a lie.

I've seen 7th graders wait.

Next thing you know they're seniors with no offers.

This process starts EARLY.

Comment SCHOLARSHIP and I'll send you the full recruiting timeline.

A college coach told me exactly what he does when he's evaluating a recruit online. He goes to Instagram first. He reads the bio. If there's no position, no class year, no film link β€” he closes it and moves on.

You have 3 seconds. Here's how to make them count:

#1 β€” Set up every bio like a recruiting business card. Every single platform β€” IG, Twitter/X, TikTok β€” needs: name, position, class year, height, weight, GPA, and a film link. If a coach finds him at midnight on a Tuesday, everything he needs should be right there.

#2 β€” Post content that builds a recruiting profile β€” not just highlights. Training clips under 15 seconds. PR announcements. Academic updates. Camp confirmations. Coaches aren't just watching for talent β€” they're watching for character and consistency. Post something 4-5 times a week.

#3 β€” Schedule in batches so consistency doesn't die when life gets busy. Use Hootsuite β€” it's free. Sit down Sunday, schedule 10 posts for the week, and move on. IG peaks 8-10am. Twitter peaks 5-7pm. Set it and forget it.

This alone has gotten athletes DMs from coaches they never reached out to.

Comment SOCIAL MEDIA and I'll send you the free Social Media Recruiting Blueprint.

I had 25 scholarship offers and still got cut from the NFL.

My problem wasn't talent. It was attitude and not understanding the full process.

That's why I teach this now so your son doesn't make the same mistakes I did.

Most parents are wasting thousands of dollars on camps and don't even realize it.

Just because a camp has a big name doesn't mean your son should be there.

If he's not ready, you're just paying for a t-shirt and a picture.

College coaches are only watching a small group of kids not everybody.

Comment CAMPS and I'll send you the guide on which camps actually matter.

Steal the exact recruiting system I've used to help student athletes earn scholarship offers at D1, D2, D3, NAIA, and JUCO programs for over a decade.

Here is the system. No fluff. No theory.

STEP 1 β€” Know where your son actually stands.
Score him honestly across ability, film, training, social media, and GPA. Most families skip this and build on a foundation that isn't there.

STEP 2 β€” Build a school list that fits his REAL profile.
Not his dream list. The schools where his height, weight, speed, and GPA make him a real candidate.

STEP 3 β€” Fix his film.
Grade 1 and Grade 2 plays only. Best plays in the first 20 seconds. Under 3 minutes. On Hudl and YouTube. Link in every bio.

STEP 4 β€” Build his digital presence so coaches see a professional.
Consistent usernames. Full bios with measurables. Training content posted regularly.

STEP 5 β€” Contact 15-20 schools every week using the 4-contact rotation.
Text. DM. Email. Phone call. Rotating. Consistent. Professional. Every week.

STEP 6 β€” Go to the RIGHT camps β€” PREPARED.
Email the position coach first. Know your measurables. Have your resume. Get to the front of the line. Compete on every rep.

That's the system. It works when you work it.

Comment SYSTEM and I'll send you the right resource for where you are right now.
