We are excited to announce the 23rd Annual Running of the runLawrence Thanksgiving Day 5K has new prize purses available to the fastest feet toeing the line on November 26, 2026! =0)

1 - The fastest female and fastest male finisher, based on gun time
(first across the line), receive $250 each.
2nd fastest female and male receive $125 each.
3rd fastest female and male receive $100.

2- Top age-graded masters (male and female, 40+) receive $125 each.
2nd fastest age-graded masters (M & F) will receive $100.

3 - *New for 2026*:
State record bonus: $500 bonus for a male and/or female Kansas resident who breaks the Open division state record. A record-breaking Kansas resident could receive $750 ($250 for 1st + $500 for the state record).
*Current state records are 14:16 for men and 16:26 for women*.

4 - Separately, a $100 bonus for a course record, male and/or female, no residence requirement
*Our current course records are 14:36 for a male runner and 16:46 for female.*
(runners can't win bonus for both state record and course record regardless of residency but still eligible for 1st, 2nd, 3rd + course or State record).
