Help Us Raise the Standard at the 6th American Open Championship

A great tournament isn’t defined only by the competitors—it is built on the dedication, professionalism, and integrity of its officials.

As part of our commitment to delivering one of the highest-quality full-contact karate events in North America, we are now accepting registrations for referees for the 6th American Full Contact Open Championship.

To ensure consistency and excellence on every tatami, we will also host an Official Referee Seminar on Friday, August 28 at 6:00 PM, where we’ll review tournament procedures, officiating standards, rule updates, and expectations before competition begins.

Our goal is simple:

-Fair competition
-Consistent officiating
-A first-class experience for every athlete, coach, and spectator.

If you are a qualified referee and would like to be part of this year’s championship, we invite you to register today. Officials will also be able to order the official referee uniform through our registration portal.

This concludes an outstanding weekend of seminars in Las Vegas.

An event filled with learning, discipline, and camaraderie, featuring intense training sessions, fighting techniques, refereeing classes, and an important meeting with all active WKO USA members.

The seminar was led by Shihan Mutin, Branch Chief of Ukraine, and Shihan Sholin from the Los Angeles Dojo, who shared their knowledge and experience with all participants.

During the event, the new dojos in the United States were also officially presented, marking an important step in the continued growth and expansion of our organization.
