Every stripe and belt we hand out represents more than a technique learned. It represents a kid who showed up, kept trying, and grew a little more confident in who they are.

That's what we care about most here at Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Summerlin. Not just building better athletes, but helping kids and teens build the discipline, respect, and self-belief that carries into everything else they do.

Most days don't slow down on their own. You have to make room for the part that resets you.

One hour here does that: no phone, no noise, just enough to think about the technique in front of you.

Book a trial class and give yourself that hour.

Some days training is about fixing a mistake you've been making for weeks. Other days it's just about showing up and letting everything else go quiet for an hour.

Either way, the version of you that keeps coming back is the one that actually changes. Not the one who trains perfectly, the one who trains consistently.

Book a trial class and feel it for yourself.

We handed the mic to two of our students and let them interview each other. 🎙️ Some of the best conversations happen right here on the mats, between training partners who've grown into real friends along the way.

This time, we just hit record and enjoyed listening to what they had to say. Watch the video to hear it straight from them.

Come train with us and be part of conversations like this one.

Some of our best moments don't happen during a competition, they happen on a regular day on the mats.

These are real students, at every stage, from their first weeks to years of training, learning the same techniques side by side.

This is what a normal week at Gracie Summerlin actually looks like.

Come see it for yourself with a trial class.

September 11th carries a memory that continues across generations. 🇺🇸

It is a day to honor the lives lost, recognize the families forever changed by tragedy, and remember the courage of those who stepped forward when it mattered most.

In our own community, we believe trust and unity are also built through small actions: every training session, every round, and every partner who chooses to stand beside you.

May this memory always be treated with the respect it deserves.

Most people outside the sport think tapping out means losing. On the mats, it means something closer to the opposite. 🥋

It's the tool that lets two people train hard, at full intensity, without anyone getting hurt. New students learn it in their very first class, right alongside their first technique.

Understanding the tap is usually the moment Jiu-Jitsu stops feeling intimidating and starts feeling like something you can actually do.

Book a trial class and see how it works firsthand.

Labor Day is one of the few days built entirely around rest, and on the mats we know it feels better after real effort. 🛠️

It's the same lesson every student learns here, one class at a time, whether they're chasing their first stripe or their next belt.

Not every kid runs in ready to make friends, and that's okay.

In Jiu-Jitsu, connection happens slowly: first a high-five before class, then a technique practiced with a partner, then a laugh somewhere in the middle of training. Nobody's rushed into anything.

Our coaches pay close attention to each child's own pace, without comparing one student to another.

Bring your child in to meet the team, no pressure at all.

A mat looks like just a place to train until you notice everything that actually happens on it.

Laughs between rounds. A student holding their posture until the round’s over. A coach adjusting the same grip until it’s finally right.

A little piece of all of that is in these photos.

Come see up close what our community builds every day.
