My goal as a Handstand Coach is to give you more than just drills. Don’t get me wrong, you’ll plenty of drill work, but in addition to the physical handstand, I also want you to understand your own practice in the way I understand mine.
No coach can feel the drills for you, so it’s important that you understand the why behind them, and what to watch for while you’re performing them.
I’m fortunate enough to have some amazing students like the folks in this video: Lori Knudsen March Tony Gaspard and Calisthenics With Kaylee 🤸♀️ who continue to put in the work on not just performing drills, but learning the concepts 🙏🏻
The alternative is: Show up. Do what Coach says for an hour. Go home….and while that may produce some results, it’s not a complete understanding of how you’re going to get better.
A more complete understanding leads to a more complete practice.
If you’re interested in 1-on-1 handstand coaching, I have 2 roster spots available currently. Just shoot me a DM and we can talk!

Handstand training tip: Every drill has a spectrum of progressions available. Even if you can’t yet do the biggest expression of the move, there is a definitely version of it that you can work on. Don’t get in a rush to hit the final boss move, it’s not a race :)
Enjoy your practice!
Hi handstand friends! In case we haven’t connected in a while, here’s how I got started with handstand training!
Tuck handstand drill for controlling the movement. The Tuck Slide gives you the opportunity to practice the transition of tuck to full handstand position while supported at the wall. As you get more skilled with it, you can pull the feet off for freestanding balance!

Handstand drill at the wall for a better straddle entry. If your straddle entry has gotten stuck in limbo, use this drill to isolate the last 50% of the handstand move you’re trying to create.
This is an awesome drill to get you more comfortable with the movements of the legs as you work towards full handstand!
Fix your overkick in handstand with Heel Pulls, a must-have handstand drill at the wall. The name of the game here is to start your handstand close to the wall to begin, then move further away as you get stronger with it.
Developing the sense and strength of pull back into your line is a great handstand habit to get into. Use this as part of your overall handstand drill practice, and you’ll start to notice that your kick-ins clean up over time :)
Handstand training flows through different seasons like a calendar. What season of your training are you in?
