🌟 WAKAPALOOZA SPOTLIGHT: GLENTON RICHARDS 🌟

Around here, we like to say WE CAN BE HEROES — and sometimes being a hero means scoring the winning run, making the impossible catch, or somehow surviving an entire WAKApalooza weekend with your dignity mostly intact.

And sometimes… it means writing a damn book. 📚🔥

Today we’re shining the WAKAPALOOZA SPOTLIGHT on longtime WAKA player, legendary party animal, referee, professional whistle enthusiast, and now PUBLISHED AUTHOR — GLENTON RICHARDS.

Glenton recently released his first book, The Honor Society, so naturally we did what any supportive group of degenerate kickball friends would do:

We crashed his book signing. 😂

We surprised him today at Barnes & Noble in Huntington Beach to show some love, grab some books, and learn a little more about the journey that somehow took him from running around kickball fields with all of us lunatics… to becoming a published author.

Our community has always been bigger than kickball.

We’re athletes.
We’re artists.
We’re entrepreneurs.
We’re teachers.
We’re creators.
We’re parents.
We’re dreamers.

And apparently, every once in a while, one of us becomes a respectable author despite years of documented WAKA behavior. 😂

Glenton’s story is a reminder that the people partying next to you, playing beside you, or arguing with you about whether that ball was actually fair are also out there chasing dreams and doing incredible things.

So congratulations, Glenton. We’re ridiculously proud of you. ❤️

🏆🇺🇸 DURFING USA ARE YOUR WAKAPALOOZA HUNTINGTON BEACH FOUNDERS CUP CHAMPIONS. 🇺🇸🏆

Some championship teams overcome adversity.

Durfing USA apparently decided to overcome EVERY POSSIBLE SIDE QUEST THE UNIVERSE COULD GENERATE.

✈️ Canceled flights.
🍌 Questionable levels of potassium toxicity.
🦓 Questionable calls that will absolutely be discussed in group chats until 2069.
☀️ Hours battling under the California sun.
🍺 Bodies operating on a nutritional pyramid consisting primarily of FestiFuel, ibuprofen, and poor decisions.
🤬 And approximately 44 moments where a reasonable human being would’ve said, “You know what? Maybe kickball isn’t worth this.”

And then came the Finals.

Waiting for them on the other side was an opponent loaded with kickball legends, veterans, and Hall of Famers — the kind of roster where you look across the field and think:

“Cool. So apparently the FINAL BOSS has unlocked all the cheat codes.” 😳

But Durfing USA didn’t blink.

When the dust settled, the whistles stopped, the bananas were finally neutralized, and everyone desperately needed a shower…

DURFING USA WAS STILL STANDING. 🏆

You came.
You Durfed.
You conquered.

And somewhere, a banana is still filing an appeal. 🍌
