We got it done again in the Club Challenge Series last night. Our team went on absolute kill mode last night and closed out the season finale with our 8th championship. Congrats to all of our team racers and especially Connor New for getting the “W” in his bracket.

This is great momentum as we head up to Spokane for the Summit Racing Series Division 6 ET Finals.

Of course, it’s always extra special to have my beautiful wife and son in the winner circle with me! My son had his best season ever and turned on some win lights last night. Love you bud!

We had a great weekend at the 55th running of the NightFire Nationals. Went a lot of rounds today and got down to the final three cars. A bad light handed the win to Davis a Deming who went on to win the final against Sean Clark who was vicious all weekend. Great work to both those guys!

It was awesome to pit with my Quanta teammates. Very proud of Nate and Cameron for battling the heat and racing hard all weekend. And it was equally awesome to have all kinds of support in the suite. A big thank you to Chris, Kipp, and Bob from Buckingham for hanging with me throughout til the late hours of today. It was motivating me, for sure!

My car was great and the mojo is awesome as we come down the home stretch for our season. We have our final club challenge race coming up right before our divisional ET Finals and that is shaping up to be a great event! Gotta stay eye of the tiger!

What a night! I’ll tell ya this, for sure - Bracket 1 in the Club Challenge Series is full of sharks. It’s a carbon copy of the Pro Eliminator class. I had to scratch and claw my way through six rounds against some bad ass racers. And faced my former teammate Leann Day in the final and she was vicious. Somehow, the “little Vega that could” carried me to the ice bucket bath! Great mojo going into next weekend’s NightFire Nationals!

Great weekend overall!

Went rounds in the club challenge on Friday - drove our asses off Friday night to go do some pre-ET Finals homework at Qlispe Raceway Park in Spokane WA. Our goals were met and then some.

Results:
Harry - Trophy Finals, went rounds in pro until the engine said “no more”. Don’t think it’s bad - should be back in business soon.

Me - really close to a diamond Wally on Saturday night, got the win in trophy on Sunday!

UPDATE: Due to a lengthy oil down, they postponed the King of the Track race until the next points race - during our NightFire.👎 Oh well… I got the win today in trophy! Had to get through two dragsters to get it. Got a few more rounds in Pro.

Great weekend. Can’t wait until ET Finals!

Well, after leaving the Club Challenge race at Firebird Friday, Harry and I pulled out a drive to arrive at Qlispé Raceway Park just in time for time trials Sat morning.

The goal was to have fun and learn for the upcoming ET Finals. Harry went to the finals in Trophy and I went to the semis.

I raced to the Pro ET finals. Both Harry and I got final round red light bug, but so much fun! -.006 red and the diamond Wally was not to be for me. Still, 300 reasons to be happy!

However, I did qualify for King of the Track Wally rounds later today! 🤞🏻

Pretty good night of racing. I was able to race to the quarterfinals in my class, but very proud of my son!

Won four rounds to make it to the final three cars. The car picked up a ton as that evening air kicked in, and I didn’t give him a good dial, but he did great tonight!

Big thank you to John Tobias for helping me get my 4-link straightened out so that we could actually get the pinion angle adjusted. Maybe now the vibration will be gone and my gear shifter won’t wave at me down the track anymore.

Missing Walla Walla this weekend, but it was a good weekend to give my Katy and my car some TLC…
