Hi, I’m Dylan, a Las Vegas local quarter midget and bandolero driver. I am always looking to learn as a driver and grow in my racing career.

I know lots of racing to catch up on but here’s a little recap from the last Tucson race on 8/15

Skip to about 3:45 for the bando action!

Thanks Mike and Evan for putting this together!

Snake River Showdown is in the books and what an amazing event it was! Getting to experience three different tracks in just three days already sounded like a blast and it definitely didn’t disappoint.

The drive out there was a smooth 8hr trek to the first track Magic Valley Speedway. Magic Valley was a fun track, had to try a few different lines and change setups a little but we got it pretty good. Only real issue was the motor was giving us a little issue just a couple little misses coming out of the corners. Tried a few things and it seemed to clear up. Main was a mess, Dylan got into it with two other cars just catching them really quick and one he hit a bump and pushed his car up to theirs and one he tried to cross over under them and they stayed right on the bottom that lap and ended up hitting each other so after going to the back twice he had to keep it clean and ended up making it back up to 10th where he finished.

Next race was at Meridian Speedway. This was Dylan’s favorite track! It was tight, bumpy, not as much banking and had to drive the crap out of his car to get around this fast track! Our goal for this one was to have a good clean competitive race. He did just that. Kept his nose clean and was running a great pace, made it around a few wrecks right in front of him(go pro video coming soon) and just kept his head in the game and came out 8th I believe.

Last track was Motorplex At The Mill! This track was again totally different but similar at the same time. Super smooth and wide but line choice was different than the rest and definitely couldn’t get out of the groove, he learned this the hard way. I could tell the three days or staying up way too late and getting up early was starting to get to him but he was still giving it his 100. Still having motor miss issues so finally just swapped the whole carb after trying just about everything else and boom fixed it! Finally laps with no miss or sputter or anything so we were happy and got the axle replaced(This is how Dylan learned to not get out of the groove, kissed the wall…)car was ready to go. Made progress on the track got around some wrecks and had a clean race and finished 5th!

Proud of the effort this kid puts in. He’s helping me more and more with the car and setups and everytime I ask him how the car feels and I make an adjustment he wants to know why and what I did that. It’s amazing and so much fun watching him improve and going to new tracks like this is one of our favorite adventures! I do wish we would have found the motor issue earlier in the week may have had some better results but now we know for next time.

We want to thank everyone involved with this event and all the staff at the tracks, they were super helpful and everyone with Snake River Legends and Bandeleros who got this going, DAM Volks for sticking with us and helping this young kid live his dreams! We already can’t wait for next year and will definetly be back!

🇺🇸🏁 Independence Day Weekend Recap – Tucson Speedway 🏁🇺🇸

What a weekend! We made our first trip to Tucson Speedway, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. Tucson Speedway. U.S. Legend Cars International and INEX

This track is smaller, tighter, and flatter than what we’re used to. It reminded us a lot of quarter midget racing—just in bigger, faster cars! Every lap took patience and precision. You had to plan your passes, feather the brakes just enough, and get back to the gas as quickly as possible to keep your momentum rolling.

We started the day a little behind. Dad missed the initial practice setup, and the car was pushing pretty badly. But that’s what makes this team special. We worked together, made the right adjustments, and by the time qualifying rolled around, they had given me an absolute rocket ship! 🚀
The results couldn’t have gone much better:
🏆 Fast Time in Qualifying🏁 Heat Race Winner🏆 Main Event Winner

A weekend sweep at a brand-new track! None of that happens without an incredible crew chief (Dad), great teamwork, and a DAM Volks race car that was dialed in.

The best part wasn’t just the racing—it was getting to spend the weekend with so many Tucson friends, including several from our quarter midget days. We celebrated together after the race, drove RC cars, raced bikes and scooters around the pits, cooled off in our own little pitside swimming pool, and finished the night watching an awesome fireworks show. 🇺🇸🎆 WHITE MOTORSPORTS JD White Melinda M. Churchill Lathyn Villegas Goodrich Motorsports Gary Goodrich Jr RAD Racing and the Alliman family

Weekends like this remind us why we love racing. It’s not just about the trophies—it’s about the people, the memories, and sharing this journey with friends and family.

Thank you to everyone who cheered us on, helped us along the way, and celebrated with us. We can’t wait to come back!
