My current setup at the new location has been good enough to get the job done thus far, but it's not nearly close to the vision that I have for this place. Please make sure you mark your calendars for the two-week closure next month, and plan accordingly. I can't wait to share my vision with you all at the GRAND RE-OPENING on August 4th!!! NEW BUSINESS SCHEDULE.
FRESH AND UPDATED.
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.

Here's the breakdown:

No more appointments on Thursdays.
The store is OPEN Tuesday - Thursday (12pm - 8pm). Appointments are unavailable during regular biz hours.
Fridays are still by APPOINTMENT ONLY.
The store is OPEN on Saturday (11am - 6pm).
Sundays are now by APPOINTMENT ONLY (11am - 6pm)

STILL CLOSED ON MONDAYS!! FOREVER!!!

May 11th:
I returned to the rink to drop off items from my booth at Skate Vegas only to find that coolant had leaked out from the compressor room at Hylo, and the ice was beginning to melt (again).

May 12th:
A statement was released describing future development plans for Hylo Park, and that Hylo Park Arena would be closed indefinitely for the foreseeable future. I was then notified that my current lease at the 2400 N. Rancho location would be terminated due to a clause in my contract that in summation, stated: "No ice, no shop."

May 13th - May 29th:
Business as usual. Making sure that you were all taken care of all while having to navigate this closure with everyone's best interests in mind. I worked on securing my new location as quickly as possible, and received the keys on May 28th while having to get through the next two days worth of appointments.

May 30th and 31st:
Opened the doors to the new location for immediate improvements. My wife and I worked from morning to night repainting some of the ugliest walls I have ever seen, cleaned, and installed all new door locks.

June 1st - 4th:
THE BIG MOVE. All original counters, slatwall, machines, inventory, and equipment was moved to the new home of Skate Daddy LLC to be utilized before the eventual build-out (July closures will be announced by the end of this month).

June 5th:
Organized the store as best as possible to get back to work, finishing touches of paint, and installed new countertops on my upgraded workstation.

June 6th + 7th:
"Soft Opening" at the new location.

THIS WEEK:
ALL skate services are good to go! Accessories are currently limited as I will require more time to get things ordered and out onto the shop floor. Skates are ready to be sold, appointments are available for fittings and services. WE ARE BACK!!!

Alright everyone, here's the scoop! New location is officially secured. Lease agreement executed! ☑️ The countdown begins, and this next week and a half is your last chance to swing by to say goodbye to FIESTA ICE ARENA (as I have always called it). My business schedule will remain the same as usual through Friday 5/29. The rink staff is officially out of the building; therefore, I have nobody to watch the front door. You will have to CALL FOR ENTRY to gain access to the shop during OPEN hours (Tues + Wed 3:30-9pm & Sat + Sun 11am-6pm). I will be CLOSED for the move from Saturday, 5/30 through Friday, 6/5. I will open my doors once again for regular business on Saturday, June 6th at the new location:

Thank you ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS for your everlasting support. This is the year to REALLY show up, and to show your support in a way you have never shown before. Show me that we can make it last, and I promise you we will. Let's make Skate Daddy FEEL LIKE HOME together!!! Can't wait to get this chapter started!!

***Please note that with this happening all so suddenly, I do not have time to build out the location. I am simply moving and getting back to operating for you all as quickly as possible. I will be scheduling time in July for the build-out. I will make that announcement sometime in mid June.

*** OFFICIAL HYLO PARK UPDATE ***

HYLO PARK IS CEASING OPERATIONS UP TO ONE YEAR.

Construction on the old Fiesta property is set to begin, and because of that, Agora Realty and Management Inc. is moving me out.

I have been offered a temporary space nearby (should I choose to take it), but I'm weighing my options.

I will require some time to figure things out these next couple of weeks. I will follow up with an update regarding a temporary closure to get things moved out. Please give me time and space while I begin to navigate this. If I need any assistance, I will reach out to you!

Please don't blow up my phone. The less I have to respond to, the quicker this gets done! Thank you for your understanding.
