🔥 WWX FIGHT FOR SIGHT RESULTS 🔥
📍 Larned, Kansas
✍️ By Cal Mercer
The WWX faithful brought tremendous energy to the Larned Community Center Saturday night as everyone came together to support the Honey Badger and help raise money for her eye surgery.
WWX sincerely thanks the Larned Community Center for welcoming us and providing a place where wrestling fans could gather for an important cause.
What began as a night filled with unexpected changes quickly became a night of opportunity, controversy and championship action!
COMMISSIONER MORGENSTERN OPENS THE SHOW
Commissioner Morgenstern opened the evening by explaining that Rodney Mack was unable to appear because of flight problems and that the Texas Outlaws were also unable to make it to Larned.
The Commissioner assured the audience that he had rebuilt the lineup and that WWX would still provide a great night of professional wrestling.
Maverick interrupted and claimed Rodney Mack was afraid to face him. With no challenger standing in front of him, Maverick demanded to be declared the winner and given the rest of the night off.
That brought out the Outlaw Blake Dalton.
Dalton said he didn’t care which championship he captured first—the United States Championship or the WWX World Heavyweight Championship currently held by Flex Reed, who has been granted time away from competition.
Hard Way manager Preacher then entered the ring and told Dalton that he hadn’t earned a World Heavyweight Championship opportunity.
Unfortunately for Preacher, he had already created problems with Maverick—and now he had made an enemy of Blake Dalton. Preacher found himself trapped between the two men and received a beating that resulted in him being taken backstage for medical treatment.
Commissioner Morgenstern reminded everyone that he had promised a United States Championship match. Since Dalton was ready to compete, the match was made immediately!
WWX UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP
Maverick vs. Blake Dalton
Maverick and Blake Dalton battled through a highly competitive championship match. The champion demonstrated exactly why he holds the United States title, but the Outlaw refused to back down and pushed Maverick further than many expected.
Late in the match, Dalton appeared to have Maverick down for the three-count. Before Referee Tina could complete the count, Dracek rushed to ringside and pulled her away, forcing the match to be stopped because of the outside interference.
Maverick retained the United States Championship and treated the stoppage as another successful victory. That celebration did not sit well with Dalton, who believed Dracek had stolen both his three-count and his opportunity to become champion.
Unable to take his frustration out on Maverick, the furious Outlaw turned his attention toward the man responsible. Dalton attacked Dracek and left the Hard Way member lying in the ring.
Maverick left Larned still holding the United States Championship—but Blake Dalton left everyone wondering what the final result would have been without Dracek’s interference.
AIDEN ROACH VS. DRACEK
Dracek was already scheduled to face Aiden Roach in a rematch from Scott City. However, the damage inflicted by Dalton before the bell proved too much for the Hard Way member.
Aiden Roach took advantage of the opportunity and defeated Dracek. Following the match, Dracek required assistance returning backstage.
Dalton later demanded another match with Dracek, and Commissioner Morgenstern granted it. However, Dracek was not medically cleared and was transported to the hospital for further examination.
SOUTHERN WAY DEMANDS A FORFEIT
WWX Tag Team Champions Southern Way—Ace Butch Holiday and Bones—entered the ring and demanded to be declared the winners by forfeit because the Texas Outlaws were unable to appear.
Commissioner Morgenstern informed the champions that WWX doesn’t work that way and promised to find them competition.
Akuma and Q then arrived and reminded the Commissioner that they had never received their rematch for the championships they previously lost.
The Commissioner created two singles matches. If Q could defeat Bones and Akuma could defeat Ace Butch Holiday, the Samoans would receive their championship rematch in the main event.
Q VS. BONES
Q defeated Bones in dominating fashion, putting the Samoans halfway toward earning their championship opportunity.
AKUMA VS. ACE BUTCH HOLIDAY
Akuma followed by defeating Ace Butch Holiday, completing the sweep of Southern Way and officially earning Akuma and Q a shot at the WWX Tag Team Championship.
BLAKE DALTON ISSUES AN OPEN CHALLENGE
With Dracek unable to compete, Blake Dalton refused to leave without another match.
The big cowboy said he came to Larned with something to prove and didn’t care who answered his challenge.
Aiden Roach, already coming off a victory over Dracek, stepped forward because he had something to prove as well.
BLAKE DALTON VS. AIDEN ROACH
Roach showed plenty of heart, but the Outlaw took care of business. Blake Dalton defeated Aiden Roach and made it clear that he now has his sights set firmly on WWX championship gold.
MAIN EVENT—WWX TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
Southern Way vs. Akuma and Q
After losing both singles matches earlier in the evening, Southern Way entered the main event with its championship reign in serious danger.
Akuma and Q brought the fight and pushed the champions throughout a hard-fought main event. However, Ace Butch Holiday and Bones found a way to survive.
Southern Way scored the deciding pinfall and retained the WWX Tag Team Championship!
