Impression 5 Science Center has TWO Sensory Friendly Hour times this month. The first one is tomorrow, September 9 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and the second one is September 13 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Explore your Science Center with select exhibits altered to reduce sounds, scents, and lighting stimuli. Guests can expect a limited building capacity, pop-up activity, and map designating the sensory experiences in each exhibit.

Registration is now open for our "Sensory Experience at Dahlem Environmental Education Center" in Jackson on October 4 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.! Participants will have the opportunity to take a "Sensory Hike" on the "Nature for All Trail" which is 0.38 miles in length and has crushed limestone (this is their most accessible trail). All ages and abilities are welcome! Caregivers are required to attend. Siblings are welcome! While half of the group is on the "Sensory Hike," the other half will be inside the Education Center for a nature-inspired craft. Then the groups will switch! Both groups will have the chance to interact with real wildlife artifacts, like feathers and pelts. When registering, please put the TOTAL number in your family/group. REMINDER!!! Our VERY popular FREE virtual, music therapy event "Together Let's Sing, Dance and Jam!!" will be the SECOND Wednesday of the month in September (because of Labor Day)!!!
