The first challenge of the SKR Friday Night Race Series is set!

Fourteen drivers will take on the Toyota GR86 at Watkins Glen’s Cup layout in a night where every braking point, racing line, qualifying lap, and position could determine who advances.

The GR86 will put the focus directly on driver skill. Carry your speed, protect your momentum, stay composed in traffic, and be prepared to race wheel-to-wheel when the pressure rises.

Your first objective is to place your fastest lap during open qualifying. From there, you’ll race through the brackets and attempt to earn one of only seven positions in the final.

And remember, this is just the beginning.

The car-and-track combination changes every Friday, creating a new challenge every week and rewarding the drivers who can learn, adapt, and perform.

We're pulling into the garage. SKR Sim Racing Center is CLOSED for Maintenance & Upgrades from Monday, August 24 through Tuesday, September 1.

But here's the exciting part: we come back BETTER on Wednesday, September 2, and we're dropping the green flag the same day. 🚦

September 2 is also the SEASON OPENER of the SKR Development League. Fresh upgrades, a brand new season, GT3 heat racing broadcast live at 7PM ET.

So rest up and charge those reflexes. When we reopen, we're going racing. 🏎️💨

Opening Night of the SKR Friday Night Race Series will feature real competition, cash prizes, and multiple ways to leave with a win!

The prize pot begins at a guaranteed:

$150 MINIMUM

A portion of every paid entry is added to the pot, allowing it to grow to:

$280 WITH A FULL 14-DRIVER GRID

At a full grid, the prizes will be:

🥇 Winner — $120
🥈 Second Place — $70
🥉 Third Place — $40
⏱️ Fastest Lap — $25
🛡️ Cleanest Driver — $25

Prize amounts scale with the size of the field—but the total pot will never fall below the $150 minimum.

SKR Members receive their race entry on us! Members only contribute the $20 pot ante and are ready to compete.

You don’t have to win the final to leave with a prize. Run the fastest lap, keep it clean, fight for the podium, and make every opportunity count!

🔥 HOW FAR CAN YOU MAKE IT? 🔥

The SKR Friday Night Race Series isn’t just one race, it’s a complete night of qualifying, bracket competition, elimination racing, and one final showdown!

Here’s how Opening Night will work:

1️⃣ OPEN QUALIFYING

Starting at 7:00 PM, drivers receive a 20-minute run to place their fastest lap on the leaderboard.

Every lap matters because qualifying determines your bracket.

2️⃣ TWO RACING BRACKETS

All 14 drivers are divided into two groups of seven based on lap time, putting you on track with drivers running at a similar pace.

Each bracket gets:

🏁 Five-minute qualifying
🏁 10-minute race
🏁 Top three advance

3️⃣ WILD-CARD SHOOTOUT

Didn’t advance from your bracket? Your night may not be over!

The fastest non-advancing drivers receive one more opportunity in a one-lap shootout and 10-minute wild-card race.

The winner earns the seventh and final seat in the main event.

4️⃣ THE FINAL

Seven drivers remain.

A five-minute qualifying session sets the grid, followed by a 15-minute final race to determine the night’s winner!
