Week 1 of Mini Club is bringing the heat, and playing your best starts before you step onto the court! 🏐

Big plays need the right fuel. Here is the ultimate practice day game plan:

💧 Hydrate early: Don’t wait until you're thirsty during sprints. Start sipping water throughout the school day so your tank is full before warm-ups.

🍌 Snack smart: A heavy meal right before practice slows your reaction time. Grab a light bite 30–60 minutes before (think bananas, pretzels, granola bars, or an apple with peanut butter) for clean, fast energy.

🧠 Master the "Next Ball" mindset: Volleyball is a game of mistakes—even the pros miss serves. When an error happens, take a deep breath, reset your feet, and focus 100% on the next play.

“I spent my first years of volleyball at Club Steel before transitioning to college where I played at the university of Arkansas. Now, I’m so excited to share that I’ll be continuing my volleyball career as a professional overseas athlete with the TV Dingolfing Dingos in Dingolfing, Germany! I am excited to play on the professional level with talented athletes across the country! Established in 2011 - Club Steel has been a cornerstone of local youth sports—a milestone built entirely on the vision of our Director, Coach Cynthia Steel. With over 20 years of coaching expertise, a Master’s in Physical Education, and a proven history of leading teams to the USAV National Championships, Coach Steel’s true passion has never shifted: it remains the development of the whole athlete.

At Club Steel, our culture is defined by more than just the scoreboard. Under Coach Steel's dedicated leadership, we don't just build championship-caliber players—we provide young athletes with the character, resilience, and leadership tools to succeed for a lifetime.
