🌴TROPICS PLAYER SPOTLIGHT — EVAN GARRETT
As some of our boys begin the next chapter of their baseball journey, we want to take a moment to recognize the players who have meant so much to the Tropics family.
First up… Evan Garrett!
Evan joined us in the spring of 10U and has been a Tropic for 7 seasons.
First and foremost, Evan is a phenomenal kid and an incredible teammate. From the moment he joined our team, he gave us a major jolt and quickly became a huge part of what we were building.
An awesome left-handed pitcher and one of the best first basemen around, Evan was as consistent as they come for all 8 seasons. And who says pitchers can’t hit? Evan was a fixture in the middle of our lineup year after year, always giving us a quality at-bat when we needed it.
But as good of a baseball player as Evan is, we’re even more proud of the young man and teammate he has become.
We can’t say enough good things about this kid. It’s been an absolute privilege watching him grow over these 8 seasons, and we’re so excited to watch him flourish at the high school level.
Without a doubt, Evan is ready for the next chapter.
Go do your thing, Bear! We’ll always be cheering for you! 🌴⚾️
Once a Tropic, always a Tropic. 🌴❤️

Our run in Pigeon Forge came to an end today in the semifinals with a tough 1-0 loss.
Of course, losing a game like that hurts. But today was about so much more than the final score.
For a handful of these boys, this was their last ride together as Tropics. Some have played alongside each other for many seasons of their young baseball careers, creating memories and friendships that will last far beyond the baseball field. As some move on to new teams, new paths, and high school baseball, we wish every one of them nothing but the very best.
The Tropics has never been just about developing baseball players. We’ve always wanted to build something bigger, a family. A place where these boys learn how to compete, how to handle adversity, how to be great teammates, and hopefully take lessons with them that help shape them into better young men.
Looking at this picture of our players and families, it’s a reminder that baseball brought us together, but the relationships and memories are what we’ll remember most.
To our boys moving on: we’re proud of you, we’ll always be pulling for you, and you’ll always be part of the Tropics family. 🌴⚾️
One last ride. One great group. One family.
