On a Saturday April 21st, 2018, the Franklin & Marshall Fishing Club made it's national debut on Smith Mountain Lake in Roanoke, Virgina. After completing the nearly seven hour journey, President Collin Martin (left) and Vice President Nicholas Brown (right) joined the other 109 boats set to launch Saturday morning. When the dust settled Franklin & Marshall College finished 58th place out of 110 boats, bagging only one smallmouth bass weighing in at 4 lbs 10 oz.
The next stop for schools competing in the Northern Conference is Lake Cayuga in Seneca Falls, NY on July 21st. With plans to field two boats and an additional two anglers, club competitors are eager to get back on the water and compete for a spot in the 2019 National Championship.
We would like to thank our sponsors and all of those who helped make it possible for the F&M Fishing Club to compete in such an amazing tournament.
