Summer Spotlight with Kayla McCrea!!🧪⛹🏻‍♀️🏖️🌅☺️

Hi! This summer, I interned with the New Jersey State Police in the Toxicology Unit where I had a lot of cool experiences learning about forensic science! Outside of that, I was getting my shots up and lifting to prep for the upcoming season. One highlight of my summer was getting to see Noah Kahan in concert!! I was also excited that I got to see lots of friends and family over the course of the summer. I just got back from vacation with my family in Ocean City, MD and am back on campus getting ready for the year! I can’t wait for everyone to be back and am so excited to get senior year started!!

Summer Spotlight with Steph Sexton!!🌞🌾🛶🏔️🚙

Hi!! My summer was packed with research and so much fun! Most of my time was spent in Lancaster doing stream restoration research with the ENE department. It was great to spend summer on campus, lifting, getting shots up (shoutout newly redone Mayser!), playing summer league at Spooky, and catching up with friends. In between weeks of work, I also spent time with my family in Jersey and Upstate NY. Then, the absolute highlight of my summer was going to Canada to do biological research on alpine lakes in the Canadian Rockies. It was an amazing experience and I’m so grateful to have gotten the opportunity to go. I can’t wait to be back in Lanc with everyone so soon and have an awesome senior year!!

Summer Spotlight with Lian Aviles!!✈️🏖️👩🏽‍💻🐾❤️

This summer I was in  Lancaster, Boston, and Puerto Rico. I had the opportunity to do three amazing internships: working with a biology professor to create and launch a Spanish science radio program, which I’m continuing this fall; working with a New York organization helping kids access better education; and interning at Eastern Bank in Boston. Beyond work, I got to reconnect with my high school best friends and teachers, and spent precious time back home in Puerto Rico relaxing at the beach with family.

Summer Spotlight with Fiona Reckner!!☀️🏖️🥙🏀🥳

Hi!! I’ve spent most of my summer down the shore in Strathmere, NJ with friends and family! When I’m not at the beach, I’ve been interning at a consulting firm and waitressing at a local restaurant. As for basketball, I played in a summer league and have been lifting/training for the upcoming season. I can’t believe summer is almost over but I can wait to be back in Lanc and see everyone again!

Hiii! My summer started off by celebrating my birthday with some friends. I then had surgery which has resulted in lots of PT and recovery this summer. Amongst all of the rest and recovery I have had the chance to go to the beach quite a few times with some friends. As for work, I have been babysitting a bunch this summer. I am sooo excited to be back in lanc and soak in every moment as a senior!!🩷

This summer I have spent most of my time working as a medical assistant in an orthopedic doctors office! I have been playing in a summer league and playing pick up with my old high school teammates. In my free time, I have been going to concerts, spending time at the lake and beach, and visiting friends! I am SO excited to go back to school and see my teammates!!!
