What’s a matching gift?

Many employers will match charitable donations made by their employees—often dollar for dollar. That means your gift to Feel the Beat could go twice as far at no additional cost to you.

It only takes a few steps:
✨ Donate at feelthebeat.dance
✨ Look for the matching gift option on our donation page
✨ Submit a quick request through your employer (we’re happy to help guide you!)

Every matched dollar helps more students access movement, music, and connection—through our bone-conductive floor, in their bodies, and in their community.

Double the Beat. Double the impact. 💜

Image Descriptions: This carousel includes four graphics introducing corporate matching gifts at Feel the Beat. The first slide features dancers standing in a line with hands on each other’s backs over a purple and blue ombré background, with the headline “Your donation just got more powerful—Introducing corporate matching gifts at Feel the Beat!” The second slide explains what a matching gift is, using an icon of a hand holding a box with money and hearts on the same background. The third slide outlines the three easy steps to submit a matching gift and includes the Double the Donation logo. The final slide features students lying on the floor in a Feel the Beat studio, with the message “Double the Beat, Double the Impact,” a note about how every dollar supports students, and “donate at feelthebeat.dance” at the bottom.

In our Adult Hip Hop Fusion class, we've been working on something called a Zulu Spin!

Zulu Spins come from breakdancing and involve rotating around on a straight leg while rolling from your heel, to your toe, back to your heel to create one continuous circle.

This video highlights a few different ways our dancers and teachers approach the movement, showing that there are often multiple ways to achieve the same goal!

Want to see more dance breakdowns and movement adaptations in the future? Drop a 🔥 in the comments below!

Video Description: This video takes place in Feel the Beat's Lakewood studio during an Adult Hip Hop Fusion class. The video highlights several students, along with teachers Amber Andrews and Jaime Bruce, demonstrating different variations of a Zulu Spin, including wheelchair adaptations. Background music, voiceover, and captions are included for accessibility. The video concludes with a light blue background featuring the 10 Year Feel the Beat logo, which cycles through several different icons.

What's the difference between Movers and Groovers? 🤔

At Feel the Beat, our classes are organized into two levels to help dancers find the environment that best supports their learning and growth.

✨ Movers focuses on exploration, creative movement, dance games, and building foundational movement skills.

✨ Groovers builds on those foundations with more choreography, technique, and opportunities to explore a wider variety of dance styles.

Both levels are fully adaptive and designed to support dancers with a wide range of abilities.

The difference isn't about who is "better", it's about finding the right fit for each dancer to learn, grow, and feel confident moving 💜

Have questions about which class might be the best fit? We'd be happy to help! Learn more at the link in our bio or at feelthebeat.dance 👈
