Lakewood's hidden gem! Firehouse Yoga is an intimate, eclectic, and welcoming studio located in the o At Firehouse Yoga, we believe that yoga is for EVERYBODY.

No matter who you are, where you’re from, what body you live in, who you love, or what path you travel, you are welcome here. Situated in an original 1920s engine house on the east side of Lakewood, we offer a variety of both in-person and virtual classes in a friendly and intimate setting. This is a non-competitive, judgement-free space where each student can nurture their individual practice, as well as develop connection with others and take their yoga off the mat to make a difference in the community. Yoga’s physical, mental, and spiritual benefits have the power to transform lives, and those benefits are available to anyone with an open heart and willingness to commit to consistent practice. We’re reading Briefly Perfectly Human by Alua Arthur—a funny, tender and deeply human look at death, and ultimately, at how we choose to live.

We’ll begin with a gentle practice, then settle in for conversation and light refreshments.

Some familiar energy is returning to Monday nights.
We’re so happy to welcome Amanda back to Firehouse Yoga.

Amanda was part of the original Firehouse teaching community, and we know there are quite a few of you who have missed practicing with her. Beginning Monday, she returns with something that feels distinctly her: Oak Moon Yoga.

It’s an invitation to slow down, turn inward, and explore the quieter spaces of practice through gentle movement, meditation, breathwork and visualization, with optional gentle touch and Reiki.

No experience needed. No particular way you need to show up. Just come as you are.

We’re taking our practice outside — right to the edge of the Cuyahoga River. This all-levels class brings movement, balance, and community together in one of Cleveland’s most unique spots.

You’ll stretch, strengthen, and reset with approachable poses and steady pacing led by our very own Julie Brown. Whether you’re newer to yoga or looking to refine your flow, this class is about feeling good in your body and enjoying the space around you.

Thank you so much to everyone who came out to support our Rise and Renew campaign last Wednesday evening. It was a perfect night and because of all of you we reached our goal of raising 1k to support the firefighters in their effort to rebuild the historic firehouse. It was so amazing to reconnect and see all of your beautiful faces out on your mats. Thank you to those who were able to stay and extend the evening at Muze Gastropub. Cheers to you all!

We will be keeping the Donorbox campaign open through the weekend if you missed the chance to support.

Last Sunday, our beloved historic Firehouse — home to Firehouse Yoga — was damaged by fire. The space that held our community is currently uninhabitable, but our spirit is unshaken.

Our friends at Studio West 117 have graciously provided their courtyard for us to share our practice. This week, we gather outdoors at Studio West 117’s courtyard for a donation-based yoga class to honor and support the very firefighters who rushed in that night.

🔥 100% of proceeds will go directly to benefit the firefighters.
🧘🧘‍♂️ Together, we’ll breathe, move, (perhaps cry a little) and rebuild stronger.
🍽️ After class, let’s continue the support at Muse Gastropub.
