This week in athletics:
The boys’ 18U AAA Hockey Team heads to Clarkson University for a game against the St. Lawrence Steel.

Both the 16U and Girls’ Hockey teams will be at home this weekend. The 16U team will face off against Rochester Coalition on both Saturday and Sunday, and the girls will play the Rochester Americans twice on Saturday and again Sunday morning.

Both boys’ soccer teams will be traveling to Colonie, NY for the NXT LEVEL Soccer Invitational. They will play St. Thomas More School, Kimball Union Academy, Master’s International Academy, and Western Reserve Academy.

Weekend results:
18UAAA Hockey had 2 wins this weekend versus South Kent. They are now 4-0 on the season.16u Hockey also played at the North Country Showcase going 1-2.
Prep Hockey facedoff against top competition at the North Country Showcase this past weekend going 1-2.

Both U17 and U19 soccer teams had great showing last weekend, both winning and drawing games.

Huskies of the Week for Sept. 11th-13th:

Alexanne Patry, class of ‘27, and girls Alpine FIS athlete is one of our Huskies of the Week. She killed it in her preseason training and now is off the Chile for the team’s first camp.

Luke Monaco, class of ‘27, and a member of the 18UAAA boys hockey team, was a major contributor to his team’s success during that weekend. He had a 26 save shutout facing off against Velocity Academy.

We are so proud of both Alex and Luke on their successes at the start of their athletic seasons! 🐺

This week in athletics:
The U17 and U19 Soccer teams have matches against the Pennington School. They then head to West Chester, PA for the Maine Line High School Showcase with matches against Mercersburg Academy and St. Benedict’s School.

The Northwood Girls Hockey Team is heading to the Stoney Creek University Showcase, which is in Stoney Creek, Ontario.

Both the 16u and Prep Boys Hockey teams will play in the North Country Showcase. This will include games at Clarkson University, St. Lawrence University, and SUNY Canton. The 18UAAA Boys Hockey Team will head to Union College where they will face off against South Kent.

Weekend results:
Boys hockey had a great opening weekend, winning all six games between the three teams.
Nordic Athlete Max Fey competed in the Keys to the Castle Sprint Race, finishing 10th in a strong field of competitors.
Soccer traveled to the St. George’s Jamboree on Saturday where the 19s went 3-0 and the 17s went 1-1-1. On Sunday, they competed in the NE College Showcase where both teams unfortunately fell to Woodstock Academy.

Huskies of the Week for Sept. 4th-6th:

Ryan Erster, class of 27’ and a member of the girls hockey team, was major contributor in her teams success- winning the NAHA Labor Day Tournament. She finished the weekend with 5 points in 7 games. She also contributed to 2 game winning goals that weekend.

Thiago Cesar, class of 27’ and a member of the 19U boys soccer team, was a major contributor to his teams success during their preseason weekend. He led the team in assists, was the driving force on the attack and defense, and dominated the midfield.
